F4P Impact Finance stands at the intersection of purpose-driven entrepreneurship and accessible finance

We are committed to catalysing economic growth and prosperity across Africa.

ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

F4P Impact Finance is a developmental microfinance company deeply rooted in African values, dedicated to driving economic growth through accessible finance and community collaboration. Our journey began by recognizing the challenges faced by women-owned businesses in underserved regions of Africa, including limited access to capital, financial management difficulties, and historical disadvantages. F4P addresses these issues with a comprehensive approach to microfinancing. We are a trusted partner in the journey of economic empowerment, enabling small businesses to thrive and uplift their local communities.

Mission

Empowering African entrepreneurs through accessible finance and community-driven collaboration to catalyse economic growth and prosperity

Vision

A future where every African entrepreneur, particularly women, possesses the financial means, knowledge, and network to transform their businesses, uplift their communities, and fulfill their purpose in life.

BACKGROUND AND PHILOSOPHY

Our Origin Story

Established in 2019 as a consultative arm of Global Leading Light Initiatives (GLLI), a non-profit organization in South Africa's Eastern Cape, F4P Impact Finance emerged from a profound understanding gained through GLLI's work with women-owned small businesses. Our journey started with a commitment to empower purpose-driven women entrepreneurs in low-income communities.

A Shift Towards Developmental Microfinance

As we delved into the challenges faced by small businesses, a valuable lesson emerged. Purpose-driven businesses demonstrated greater resilience, commitment, and longevity compared to their profit-focused counterparts. Realising that financial exclusion posed a significant barrier to the growth of purpose-driven businesses, F4P underwent a transformative shift in 2022.

Transitioning into a developmental microfinance company, our mission expanded beyond providing financial support. We sought to complement the training programmes offered by GLLI, recognizing that sustainable growth requires a holistic approach. The pilot phase, running from 2023 to 2024, is yielding remarkable results, solidifying our commitment to the cause.

The Fuel for Purpose pyramid

At the heart of F4P's investment philosophy lies the "Fuel for Purpose" pyramid. We identify and invest in businesses propelled by purpose – where passion serves as the driving force, competence is developed through knowledge and experience, and access to resources acts as the bridge between internal drive and external opportunities. This interconnected network provides a foundation of financial and social security, affording business owners the freedom to focus on growth.
